XM Cyber and ServiceNow collaborate to enhance exposure remediation efficiency with context-driven prioritization, focusing resources on the risks that matter most

Tel Aviv, Israel – October 29, 2024 – XM Cyber, the leader in exposure management, today announced a collaboration with ServiceNow to integrate the Now Platform with XM Cyber’s Continuous Exposure Management (CEM) platform. As part of this effort, ServiceNow will also leverage the CTEM framework, Gartner’s number two strategic technology trend for 2024, to help organizations proactively address the greatest risks to their business processes.

Organizations struggle to gain a comprehensive view of how attackers leverage exposures across the hybrid network to move laterally and jeopardize critical business processes. The integration enriches ServiceNow workflows by prioritizing and validating exposures based on proprietary attack graph insights. This approach helps teams address high-impact, exploitable risks and reduces the overhead of fixing exposures with minimal risk impact. The integration, available in the ServiceNow Store, also fosters better collaboration between security and IT teams and increases the efficacy of remediation, ultimately improving the organizations’ overall security posture.

XM Cyber worked with ServiceNow to provide multiple integration points to extend the benefits of the ServiceNow ecosystem for ServiceNow customers. These include integrations with ServiceNow Vulnerability Response (VR), IT Service Management (ITSM) and Configuration Management Database (CMDB) offerings. For further details, read the integration solution sheet.

Also, ServiceNow chose the XM Cyber platform to enhance its own exposure management program with unique context-based insights, which protect critical business processes.

Key benefits of the XM Cyber and ServiceNow integration includes:

  • Fix What Matters First: Prioritize and address high-impact risks targeting critical assets.
  • Validate Impact: Document improvement in enterprise risk through overall risk score reduction.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Enhance collaboration between SecOps and IT teams by sharing justification and risk context.
  • Enterprise Risk Reduction: Offer a core perspective to protect the most critical assets.

“ServiceNow is the leader in workflow optimization, and we’re thrilled they engaged XM Cyber as a key integration partner, to deliver our market-leading Continuous Exposure Management capabilities,” said Boaz Gorodissky, CTO and Co-Founder at XM Cyber. “With this joint offering, ServiceNow customers can report and demonstrate improvement in enterprise risk, reducing the potential for a breach and increasing operational efficiency. This enables business leaders the ability to better understand their risk and compliance posture.”

“Today, cybersecurity is firmly on the CEO agenda, but with an overwhelming volume of exposures, misalignment between security and IT remains a significant risk,” said Paul Fipps, ServiceNow President, Global Industries and Strategic Growth. “With the integration of XM Cyber and the ServiceNow platform, we are streamlining and optimizing security workflows so our joint customers can better coordinate IT with security, improve their cybersecurity posture, and respond to an ever-evolving security and risk environment.”

This collaboration reinforces XM Cyber’s commitment to operationalizing the CTEM framework for enterprise customers and further enhances the company’s position as a leader in cybersecurity.
